Please tell the readers a little about yourself.?
My name is Brandy Waller, also known as Brandy Thee PrettiiFaceBae. I’m a 37-year-old Mompreneur, born and raised in the vibrant city of Houston, Texas. Once I graduated from high school, I relocated to Dallas where officially began my journey. Now, I proudly call the beautiful Alhambra, California my home.
How long have you been modeling? How long have you been doing hair and cosmetology?
So, it all started back in Houston, Texas. Yes, I’m a country girl, born and raised! Ever since I could remember, I have been a creative person. I cut, painted, and designed clothing pieces as a side hustle all through middle and high school. I taught myself how to braid and cut hair
with shears starting on myself which led to me doing it for my peers. As far as the modeling and acting, I didn’t realize participating in the events and shows during high school was giving me that experience and I have always had that “hustle” mentality! I still have a VHS tape of a homemade Mtv Cribs my sister and I self-produced and directed on our
camcorder! One thing my momma did teach me is that “if you want it, you got to work for it. No shortcuts or thinking’ it’s gone fall in your lap.”

Does Cali show love to plus size women when it comes to fashion and modeling?
Unfortunately, I can’t speak for no one but myself. I haven’t had the best of experiences in Los Angeles when it comes to the modeling. Yes, I have become the closest of friends with several photographers, but all in all, trying to catch paid work and excel, I am still trying to
figure it out. But this is why I love NY because not only am I able to book fulfilling and fairly compensated work, by word of mouth and with the help of my model sisters…you know who\ you are…I have been able to network like no other and have been able and will be able to continue to step my foot in rooms I didn’t know I was capable . Blowing kisses!

When you hear the words Fearless Curves, what comes to mind?
When hear the words Fearless Curves, I feel I hear empowerment, strength, I hear being authentically YOU. Not succumbing to the pressures of society trying to place in a box of what a trend, for the moment ideal, defines as beauty. And for the most part being secure
within my own skin and modeling that aura to the world. It’s a lifestyle!

As a dedicated mompreneur, how do you balance raising your daughter, Alayah, and caring for your two fur babies' while managing multiple businesses?
Balancing my roles as a single mom and a mompreneur is challenging but rewarding. My daughter, Alayah Au’Rai, and my fur babies, Crystal Blue and Baby Oreo, inspire me every day. I carefully plan my time to ensure I can focus on both my family and my businesses. Involving Alayah in simple tasks helps manage responsibilities, and teaches
her valuable skills. Setting boundaries between work and family time, delegating tasks, and leaning on my tribe for efficiency are my key strategies. Self-care is also important. In order for super mommy to do her deeds, I have to make sure my mental health is check. I don’t short cut with it at all. This balance isn’t always easy, but it’s incredibly fulfilling.

What inspired you to start your own businesses, including your clothing boutique, wig customization services, and modeling/acting ventures? How did you decide on these specific industries?
It wasn’t until I saw the movie B.A.P.S., a 1997 film starring Halle Berry and Natalie Desselle, that I was able to home in on what I wanted to create exactly. Within the movie, Natalie and Halle were waitresses at a Georgia restaurant who then decide to fly to Los Angeles for a music-video audition in order to raise money for their dream project — a business that combines soul-food dining with a hair salon. I’ve always had the passion since that moment to open up my very own spa, salon, and boutique. Fast forward 2007 to 2014, I worked as an exotic dancer at night. Because I was able to work nights, my days were open and free to create! This is where the push of everything began. During this time, I elevated my hustle but my sense of self and networking. Working in the clubs, I met so many artists! I met aspiring rappers, singers, painters, hairstylists, and all! These same people were the ones who connected with me to model, act, and be the stylist in my first music videos! The clubs’ income definitely assisted with funding my goals as well!

You’re about to complete your associate’s degree in business and plan to pursue cosmetology certification. How do you see these two paths aligning with your entrepreneurial goals?
Combining my business degree with a cosmetology certification is a brilliant strategy for my entrepreneurial ambitions in the entertainment and modeling industry. My business education equips me with essential skills in management, marketing, and finance, laying a solid foundation
for running a successful enterprise. Meanwhile, a cosmetology certification provides the technical expertise and creative flair needed to excel in these fields. This powerful combination allows me to offer high-quality services while effectively managing and growing my business. I can create a welcoming environment for clients, build a loyal customer base, and implement savvy marketing strategies to attract new clients or being able to work along with more prominent productions and celebrities. Additionally, my business acumen helps me manage
finances efficiently, ensuring my venture remains profitable and sustainable. With these combined skills, the possibilities are endless—I could expand my services, open multiple
locations, work along the more reputable productions or even create my very glam squad team. By blending business savvy with my passion for beauty, I’m setting the stage for a truly successful and fulfilling career.

How has moving from Houston to Alhambra, California influenced your personal and professional growth? What key lessons have you taken from living in both cities?
Living in both cities has taught me important lessons. Adaptability has been crucial, as living in two distinct environments has shown me the importance of being flexible and adaptable. Interacting with such diverse communities and backgrounds of different people has enhanced
my cultural awareness and sensitivity, which is invaluable in today’s world. Building and maintaining professional relationships in different cities has also been key to my career growth, demonstrating the power of a strong, diverse network. The move has been a journey of growth
and learning, and I’m grateful for the experiences and opportunities it has brought into my life.
You’ve mentioned that you want to inspire girls and women to believe in their own potential. What advice would you give to someone just starting their journey of self-discovery and empowerment?
Embarking on a creative journey demands both passion and discipline. First, cultivate a big appetite for curiosity—explore, learn, and practice consistently. Treat creativity like a muscle that
grows stronger with regular exercise. Set clear goals, breaking them down into achievable steps, and celebrate each milestone as they come. We tend to skip over this part. Every one of them no matter how big or small are huge accomplishments. But remember, resilience matters.
Embrace failure as part of the process because it’s all a lesson along the way and stay true to your unique voice. “Your journey is a canvas waiting for your brushstrokes; paint it authentically.”
TRUST YOURSELF AND JUST DON’T GIVE UP! Like my favorite quote by Nipsey says, “Instead of trying to build a brick wall, lay a brick every day, eventually you’ll look up and you’ll have a brick wall!” (I literally have it written in the corner of every mirror in my home!)

What's in your closet looking like? Do you have a Fearless closet, what brands do you rock?
Honestly, I’m not a not a material gworl as they say. For me, it’s not about what you wear, it’s about how you wear it! My favorite stores are Goodwill, Salvation Army, Walmart, and many other simple stores and small boutiques I randomly come across. My friends don’t call me
Boujie on a Budget, for nothing. I put that shit on!

With your businesses and creative pursuits, what’s next for you in terms of growth and expansion? What are your long-term goals for both your career and personal life? What's next for you in 2025?
Next on my journey of growth and expansion, I have several exciting plans in the pipeline. For my businesses, I aim to scale up my online clothing boutique, Itssimplybb.com, by expanding
the product range and enhancing the customer experience. I’m currently working on rebranding and redefining who I am and what solution I’m bringing with it. I also plan to grow The Luxxe
Hair Xchange by introducing new services and reaching a broader audience through strategic marketing and collaborations.
In terms of my creative pursuits, I’m looking to take my modeling and acting career to the next level. This includes seeking out more significant roles and opportunities that challenge me and
allow me to showcase my talents on larger platforms. I’m also considering launching a YouTube channel or a podcast to share my journey, tips, and insights with a wider audience. Because I
have been figuring this out as I go and going through the trials, I have come to the realization that I am a resourceful person, and I would love to share it because I understand how hard it is out here!
Long-term, my career goals include establishing a physical storefront for my boutique and hair services, creating a brand that is synonymous with quality and innovation. I also aspire to
produce and star in my own projects, whether it be in film, television, or digital media, to further cement my presence in the entertainment industry. On a personal level, my primary goal is to provide a stable and fulfilling life for my daughter,
Alayah Au’Rai, and my fur babies, Crystal Blue and Baby Oreo. I want to continue my education, complete my associate’s degree in business, and obtain my cosmetology certification. This will not only enhance my skills but also set a strong example for my daughter
about the importance of education and perseverance.
Ultimately, my mission is to inspire girls and women everywhere to believe in their own power and potential. I want to show that it’s possible to follow your dreams and live your truth, no
matter the challenges or your past circumstances were. By building my own empire and creating a legacy for my child, I hope to make a positive impact and encourage others to be
unapologetically themselves.
